    Lion Country Safari
    A 'zoo' of a different sort, Lion Country Safari, is actively involved in the breeding and conservation of endangered or threatened African species through it's captive breeding program. People are 'caged' in this zoo in vehicles which permit a safari like tour to view the animals in their respective habitats. White Rhino's, chimpanzees, African Elephants and other species are available for viewing. This establishment is also a licensed rehabilitation facility offering care to injured wildlife and releasing back to the wild where possible.

    Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale

    The Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory, recently opened to the public, focuses on smaller forms of aquatic life such as seahorses, hermit crabs, red and white spotted calico crabs and electric rays.
